Reed Hoffman has been leading hands-on shooting workshops around the world for various clients since 2000. They’ve ranged from weekends in the U.S. to two-week adventures on the other side of the planet. Group sizes vary based on the trip, but his goals are always the same – to help you improve as a photographer, come back with pictures to hang on your wall while having fun and memorable experiences. To him, photography is a great social activity, and more enjoyable when done with people who share a passion for it.
Reed will be leading a workshop at Sloss Furnaces, and other locations March 19-23, 2024. This one is different in many ways from the trips he usually runs. For one, he’ll be joined by a second teacher, Meg McKinney. And for another, it’s a true workshop, in that the two of them will be teaching night photography and light painting, both hands-on and in a classroom setting. They’ve arranged special access to this unique old industrial site, during both day and night, where you’ll spend the bulk of three days. And for the fourth day, you’ll venture outside Birmingham to a couple of other neat locations.
