Join us for our Photography Workshop at Sloss with professional photojournalist Meg McKinney on Saturday, September 5 from 8:30am-5:30pm. This session’s theme will be Contrast: Big vs. Little. Sloss Furnaces is a place of contrasting objects, that built together, made it a national source for iron. Compare and photograph the big and little objects that made it run.
Immerse yourself in the by-gone industrial age of Birmingham, Alabama, with your camera and your imagination. Take this unique opportunity to walk among the steel behemoths and work yards of the nations’ only 20th century blast furnace museum and complex.
Cost: $250 which includes food, one-on-one instruction, and access to parts of the site not open to the public. LIMITED AVAILABILITY. 18+ age restriction.
