What To Bring
Clothing: The weather in Birmingham is mild, but can reach extremes in the
summer and winter. Wear appropriate clothing, including a good
pair of walking shoes, but consider bringing a jacket, hat and
sunglasses as well year-round.
Food: No food is available on site, but you are welcoome
to bring your picnic lunch and enjoy it while viewing our sculpture
garden.
Camera: Many people
enjoy photographing the massive structures, both professional
and amateur. A camera is almost a neccesity.
What
To Do
Museum Store: The
museum offers a video about Birmingham and the rise of industry
that is shown in the auditorium. A good selection of books about
Sloss Furnaces and the Birmingham District are available in the
museum store as well as t-shirts and posters.
