Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark Presents: Dreams Come True Industrial Education for Black Youth in Alabama 1881-1939
Beginning February 1st Sloss Furnaces will feature a photography exhibit known as "Dreams Come True". This exhibit in honor of Black History Month, highlights industrial education for black youth in Alabama post slavery and is a salute to two men who saw the fruition of their dreams: Booker T. Washington and Arthur Harold Parker - two men who rank as leading educators not only in Alabama - but in the nation.
This exhibit will be on display until June 30th.
