Second Saturdays at Grandmother’s Garden at Sloss Quarters

May 13, 2017 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

| Free

Please join us for our third WALK & TALK of the year. Take a stroll in the garden as we introduce the medicinal and historical uses of two of our signature plants at Grandmother’s Garden: Passionflower & Mulberry.

Passionflower works as a nervine and helps promote restful sleep; hence, considered an effective treatment for insomnia. As well it is the sole food source for the Gulf fritillary or passion butterfly!

Mulberry, considered a blood tonic, helps cleanse the blood, improving its circulation and supports the kidneys and liver.
We hope our trees will be full of berries for tasting, so make sure to wear something you don’t mind getting “dyed.”

Please enter through the gate under the First Avenue North viaduct.
